Not Changing Your Mind About Your Friends

Today I am going to talk about how to not change your mind about your friends once GOD answers your prayers about them. Same as usual: Background, verse, meaning, and, daily advice.

Background: I have this wonderful friend who I met last year about this time, and, we really got to know each other. This year, she, and, I have been friends for one year, and, it has been the happiest year of my life. Well, she, was dating this guy that all he could think about was s**, and, she came to me online asking what to do, and, we prayed to GOD about this. GOD told us that her boyfriend was having thoughts about s**, and, for her to dump him. Well, she talked to him about it, and, told him they were through, and, could only be friends. So, last night we talked about this and, came to the conclusion that she needs to move on and think about what's going on now. I had her delete anything that had to do with him, on her phone, email address, and, block him from contacting her ever. So, I told her to not change her mind about this, and, I hope that she doesn't.

Psalm 35:2: Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.

Meaning: What is said here is that GOD wants us to stand up, and, be able to ask for help when we need it, and, to not change our minds when we hear what HE has to say. HE is saying stand up, and, seek help from me, and, you will go with the knowledge that I have helped you. He is also saying that when we ask for help, and, prayer, we must always take what HE says, and, not change our mind about the advice given from HIM.

Daily advice: Come to GOD with your burdens about friendships, and, ask HIM what to do. When HE gives you the advice you seek, don't change your mind. Pray everyday for the advice you seek if you don't receive it right away.

Friendship: How To See It Through GOD'S Point Of View

This week we are going to talk about friendship, and, how to see it through GOD'S point of view. I will give you some background info on how my friendships come and go, and, one example of someone who is not worth talking to. No names will be mentioned throughout the study. Then, I will give the scripture, meaning, and, daily advice. Also, I am going to do a background about one friend each day, and, tell you why or why not I am friends with them anymore.

Background: I have made many friends throughout the years, that a lot of the time I wish I hadn't even encountered them at all. I always used to give my email address out to everyone that was giving theirs, and, found myself talking to probably 15 people that I had in my address book. Well, one day, I made this friend who semed nice, and, always wanted to talk about himself, and, never bothered asking about how I was doing. That was okay for now, but, this friend, would want to be cuddled and, always say something like,"I want to die." and, I felt like he was really going to do it. Then, one day, he forwarded an email a friend of his sent , saying he wanted to not be friends with him anymore cause of how he acted. So, That's when I decided to do the same thing. We parted ways, and, that was that.

Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

Meaning: What GOD was talking about in the verse, is you can choose to have friends, but, you must be aware of what you are getting yourself into. If you feel like they don't live up to GOD'S standards, then, you need to let them go. Always put your trust in what GOD is saying to you about your friends. Don't trust them, trust GOD completely, and, you will have a clearer mind about friendship.

Daily advice: Always put your trust in GOD, and, remember that HE is in control no matter what you may or may not think. HE has the power over you, and, the decisions you make.

7/7/07: How To Control Yourself

This is tomorrow's study today. I may not get to it tomorrow, so, I thought you may as well get a double shot today. What we are going to look at today is how God can help you stop your addiction, and, make it into a positive, instead of a negative.

Daniel 9:4: And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O LORD the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy, to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments.

Meaning: We are talking here about how we should pray to the LORD, and, make Him hear our confession known. We are praying to be able to hear what He has to offer us, and, we are praying saying that we will hear and obey His every command.

My addiction: I never prayed to God about my addiction in the beginning, but, now I do, and sometimes I may never hear His commands, but, I know what He is telling me. He is telling me: "My child, hear my every command, and, obey me." He wants us to pray for His love, and, guidance, and, mercy, so that we may be stronger because of it.

Daily advice: Learn to hear the LORD, and, pray about what you are struggling with in your addiction. Also, learn to stop, and, listen to His every word, and, command. You will thank Him for it in the long run.

Hearing From GOD

Today we will look at a way to hear from GOD, and, to listen to Him telling us to follow His rules. And, I will relate that to my addiction. And, I will also give some advice to ponder about throughout your day. Happy reading!!!!!!!!!!!!

Proverbs 4:1: Hear, ye, children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

Meaning: GOD wants us to sti down and hear what HE is telling us through His word, and, through His instructions for our lives. He also wants us to understand that we must follow in the footsteps of His Son, Jesus Christ. He wants us to be perfect like Christ, but, if we fall, we must hear His instructions again, and, get back up and walk in the ways of Christ aagain.

My addiction: I used th think that I could do anything, and, not have to listen to what GOD was telling me, and, I would do fine. But, was I wrong about that. I needed GOD to tell me what to do, and, I needed to follow His orders like He was my boss. Any time I slipped in my addiction, I felt like I didn't hear His instructions to get rid of this addiction. I felt like He wasn't there at all. But, I did some heavy praying, and, asked Him to teach me to learn to listen to His instructions for beating thts addiction, and, I did. It took me awhile, but, I got used to listening to what He was telling me. I slipped up enough th realize that I couldn't anymore. So, 30+ days later, I am listening to GOD and hearing what He is telling me every time I want to give in to temptation. It's hard sometimes, but, somebody's gotta snap me out of this funk I get into sometimes.

Daily Advice: Learn to walk in the ways of Christ, and, to hear what GOD is telling you to do to beat this addiction. And, you wil feel better, as, I know I do.

How Does Jesus Help Us In Times Of Trouble?

Today we will be looking at the way that GOD, and, Jesus Christ will help us through the addiction(s) that we are faced with. And, we will see how it has applied in my life as a conquerer of my addiction.

Hebrews 13:5: Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as we have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee , nor forsake thee.

What this means: We need to realize that when we go to pray we will always have a conversation with HIM, and, when we are done praying He is still there with us no matter where we are in our struggles with addiction. He is always going to be there for you in the tough times of the addiction, and, through the triumphs of the addiction as well. Just always remember that He is never going to leave you when you need Him the most through the addiction. And, when you feel like He is gone, just remember this verse and you will always have Him by your side.

How this has helped me: I have always thought that when you are done praying, He leaves you and goes to someone else that needs help with their addiction. WRONGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is there for me no matter how bad I struggle through this addiction. I have fallen several times throughout this addiction, and, I have picked myself up, brushed the dirt off, and, continued on with it. Why? Because I know that GOD is there for me when I need Him the most, and, when I am PRAISING His Holy name. So, remember that GOD will always be with you through the roughest parts of your addiction, and, you will get to the finish line faster than you think. And, boy, is that the goal that everyone wants in life!!!!1

Addictions: What Would Jesus Do?

This week we will be looking at addictions, and, what Jesus Christ would do to get you through a tough time in beating them. First let me tell you a little about an addiction I have under control:

I am a recovering caffine drinker. I am trying to limit, or, at the moment get rid of drinking soda in my life. I have started this over 30 days ago, and, have since gotten this to the point where I don't even think about having a soda. I have water instead, and, feel that soda is no longer a part of my life. So this week we will be focusing on scripture that pertains to helping addictions, and, what Jesus would do to help us comtrol them.

Psalms 62:8: Trust in Him at all times, ye people, pour out your heart before Him: GOD is a refuge for us. Selah.

What this is telling us: Let GOD know that you have sinned, and, tell Him that you will try harder next time to let go of the sin, and, learn to walk in the ways of His Son, Jesus Christ our LORD, and, Saviour. This week we will learn to walk in the ways of Jesus Christ by examining scripture that let's us know that Jesus will always be there to hold our hand when we are sinning, and, not to let go in times of trouble.

How this helped me in my walk to get a hold of the addiction, is that I had to ask the Father, Son, and, Hloy Spirit to guide me through this tough time. I also had to seek the help, and, counsel of friends, that are encouraging me to get through this addiction with flying colours. I want to PRAISE GOD for allowing me to share this with the world. Thank you Father GOD for helping me through a difficult time in my life, that, I knew I could handle with your guidance, and, counsel.

Dana's Bible Study

Welcome to Dana's Bible Study. This study is going to consist of a verse from the bible, and, I am going to tell you what it means to me, and, then apply it to real life. Have fun, and, tell me what you think. Here's the very first bible verse.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and, hearing by the word of GOD.

What this verse says is that we have to have faith in everything we do, and, not give up if GOD tells us to take things slow. GOD wants us to learn to have faith in HIM when we have good days, and, bad days as well. HE is, was, and, always will be there for us no matter how complicated our life gets sometimes.

How do we apply this to real life? To apply this to life in general, we must look at our life individually, and, have faith in what GOD does for us. He is going to always take us by the hand and have us realize that He is there all the time. If you are not comfortable with this then we need to pray about GOD granting us the ability to have faith in HIM. HE is the one that created us, and, HE is the one that tells us what to do, so, learn to have faith in HIM, and, you will be in business.
